The Centre is located in Mimizan, in the Landes region of Nouvelle-Aquitaine. Nestled between the lake and the ocean, it offers an exceptional natural setting, just minutes from the beaches and surrounded by pine forest.

🏫 What kind of groups does the Centre accommodate?

The Centre specialises in hosting groups of minors: school trips, summer camps, sports training, and themed water-based stays. It is particularly suitable for primary and secondary schools, sports clubs, youth organisations and holiday centres.

🌊 What water activities do you offer?

The Centre offers supervised activities with its own certified instructors: stand-up paddleboarding, rowing, sailing, and canoeing. No intermediaries – the organisation is simplified for teachers and group leaders. Surfing and coastal lifesaving are also available through our external partners on Mimizan's beaches.

📆 When can stays be organised?

The Centre is open all year round except during the Christmas holidays. Off-season stays in spring and autumn are ideal for enjoying a peaceful environment and increased availability.

🛏️ What is the accommodation capacity?

The Centre can host up to 280 people in collective accommodation, across several buildings and in marabout tents during the summer season.

🍽️ How are meals organised?

Meals are prepared on site by our kitchen team using locally sourced, homemade food. They are served in the central dining hall (self-service), with packed lunches available for day trips and outdoor activities.

Yes, the Centre has several fully equipped classrooms and meeting rooms, making it easy to carry out complete educational projects on site.

Our 5-hectare estate includes an outdoor swimming pool, sports fields, tennis court, activity hall, playgrounds, direct access to a cycle path, a one-hectare open space, and more.

🧾 Is the Centre certified?

Yes, the Centre is approved by the French Ministry of National Education and Youth & Sports. It complies with all safety and supervision standards for hosting minors.

🚌 Does the Centre offer transport services?

Yes, we provide transport services for travel to activity locations and transfers to/from train stations and airports. We have two coaches and two minibuses available.

🚗 How to get to Centre Lac et Océan in Mimizan?
  • From Paris: TGV to Bordeaux or Dax, then coach transfer to Mimizan. Approx. 10h by coach via A10 then A63, exit Labouheyre or Onesse-et-Laharie.
  • From Bordeaux: TER to Labouheyre, then bus or shuttle. Approx. 1h45 by coach via A63 then D26 to Mimizan.

🔒 How is the Centre secured?

The Centre is located in a quiet residential area, at the end of a cul-de-sac, in the forest, with no through traffic. It is equipped with CCTV, fire and intrusion alarms, and an evacuation plan. In case of intrusion, an alert is triggered and a team member is dispatched. A caretaker is present day and night. We can also organise evacuation drills with your group.

🚫 What are the restrictions and rules on site?

Due to the Centre’s location, values and the young audience we host, smoking, alcohol and illicit substances are strictly prohibited on site.

In case of bad weather, a shelter is available for groups staying in tents.

🏊 How do you access the swimming pool?

The pool is near the dining hall. Access is only permitted under the supervision of a qualified lifeguard, provided by the group organiser. The lifeguard’s certificate must be shown at reception. The pool must be booked in advance using a timetable available on arrival. The Centre accepts no
